OK folks, here is your chance to give me some input.
Car goes to the painter tomorrow and I am considering two color options.
Bahia Red...original '74 color
Phoenix Red...original '74 color

Car is currently red but the family loves the bright orange (Phoenix)

what do you think?

Car will be track and AX only. wacko.gif

Actually Dave the red is a repaint that was done in '88.
The original color of the car was Delphi.

Since it already is not the original color whether it stays red or goes orange is not that important.
The car will be 85-90% track use and an occasional cruise to a club event.
It will be nice but not a concourse car. smilie_pokal.gif

Ok guys... the color will be Phoenix red (orange) it is an original 914 color that took the place of Tangerine.
The entire car will be this color including the sail panels and the smoothed top. The valences and rockers will be satin black.
This will be a down to metal strip, body work, removal of all old body filler, metal working same areas back to flush, repair of any found rust or surface rust, (shaving and filling of all holes including; aftermarket mirror holes, rear reflector holes, windshield washer holes, antennae hole, side markers) prime, color, 2 coats of clear, color sand blah blah blah.
It will be a very nice paint job...probably too nice for a track/ax car.
Guy doing it takes photos of entire process and makes a CD for owner.

I can hardly wait...then for the reassembly and new suspension and brakes. biggrin.gif
