Closest I could find was Gemini Blue Metallic L96E but it looks a little light...

I don't think it's Gemini Blue... I've seen it on a lot of 911s though. it's almost like a pewter-blue.

Looks a lot like Marathon Blue Metallic (L96M) to me.

Found this on ebay... looks about the same color. Could it be Light Blue Metallic?

i don't think any of the 914 codes are Porsche codes. Near as I can tell, they are all VW paint codes. I think you could get a 914 in pretty much any color that VW offered, from what I can gather.

No I don't think that 911 and the 914 are the same color. The license plate on the 914 says "1973 914", so if the 914 is the original color, then it would be Marathon Blue Metallic L96M.

My first teener was Marathon Blue Metallic and that looks just like it. (The color not the car!)

This car was at GAF...does anyone know the owner? I need to know for sure!

Pic is not at a good angle for color but that is marathon
blue metallic.
