Hello does anyone know to whom this Red 914 with the soft flares belongs too?
Also does anyone have any more pictures of this car or any other 914 with simliar flares.

I really like the way they blend into the body lines of the 914.

Thanks in advance.

No way that's the same car.......unless he's running a stock chrome bumper on the front, and a FG on the back...not likely.

Both nice cars though, the first was my wallpaper for a looooong time. wub.gif

Compared to the cinder block GT flares, they look pretty damn soft to me. wink.gif

255 40 17's in the back. "stock" fenders.

They will be removed and replaced with

bontempi flares... which might fit some 11in wheels later in the future..

time will tell.

Some great photos and info if you dig around HERE.

yep, i really like the HPH and the sheridan flares.

here's mine masking taped on to take measurements....

that's a 10" rear wheel and it's going to need at least a 3 1/2" spacer.

ok so suppose that i were to shape out or have shaped some stretched soft flares...would i have problems fitting gt flares at a later date without creating too much of a headache for myself...which soft flares i am referring to are Jon Kelly's style that do not add metal to the area?
John Kelly
You could stretch the fenders and later put on flares...it would be easier if you do it like Andyrew...without much stretching forward of the flare, instead of blended into the door like I tend to do it. If you stretched the fenders an inch or so instead of 2", you would also have an easier time of it later.

John,

Has zack painted his car yet? I'm targeting May-June for mine...
Mountain914
Well, assume soft flares are the non-GT style. Can't find a flare thread without me throwing in a picture (wanted or not) aktion035.gif

The wheels on the Red 914 are Fikse

My brother-in-law has a set on his 911. They cost more than I paid for my 73 914 2.0

Hi Dave,

Nice picture of my shiny bald head!

Lee, Your 914 is gorgeous!

Felix, Zach is not making progress on his car right now...new family, new house etc. We all know these cars are not meant to be finished....what are you thinking?
