in germany someone tries to sell an original six - for € 38,900 wacko.gif

the car is a 1990 US reimport and got fully restored, using lots of "new parts"

the seller told me that it's not original colour

matching numbers and original 110 PS

today I've got a couple of hi-res pics and I've found some details that are not original

so I'm just wondering about that price (remember - that's about $ 46k screwy.gif )

seems a little steep for a nice lookin six,
But of course it depends on the amount of 914s available across the pond

agree.gif Supply and demand, I wouldn't have the demand at that price though, but someone might?

I guess 914's are getting popular. Especially since the magazine compared a 914 to a cayman.

Excellence just mentioned prices are up "across the board", maybe they meant "across the pond".

What are the non-original details that you spotted ?

I'm not positive that the wiper arms are the early variety, but that's the only thing I can see. Wll, it looks like the wheels could be steel with Fuchs-like caps, which would be real cheesy.

back bumper is MJ 71-73
rear valance is MY 72+
threshold rails should be alu (can't see on these pics)
D.O.T. sticker is missing (can't see on these pics)
door handle levers should be all chrome (can't see on these pics)

not really dramatic, I know - but at a 46k car ... dry.gif

That's about what I'll have into the four by the time it runs!

So the Silver Six (Ebay) was a steal at 28 K US, If your from europe (the euro ) it was a even better deal.

BTW I heard the Lufthansa GT is avialable for 195,000
