Has anybody ever sourced parts from JC Whitney? They seem to have qwuite a bit of VW parts but always suspicious of their quality.

BTW, how much of the 1200-1600 gaskets fit the TYpe IV?

JC Whitney and Warsouskis (sp) have been in Chicago area longer than me. Much of their stuff is brand name sold a generic, and some is cheap. You may be able to ask who is mfg for parts you are looking to buy.

IIRC no "engine" parts interchange... I've ordered from JC, CIP1 and CBperf. but not engine parts, pay the extra to get the right stuff from Jake, PP,aircooled.net, etc...

extrnal parts... like the window cranks, CHT gauge kit, etc, can be gotten from the t1 places though...
