long time ago there was a thread concerning all the countries the teener was exported to

one indicator was the different language versions of original printed stuff

now I've found a well known '72 sales folder in a "new" language

I'm not sure about the language, but I suggest it's norvegian or danish confused24.gif
maybe anyone could tell me for sure?

thanks for that info - for me all scandinavian words look very similar ...

slugmika
actually Finnish is totally different than the other scandinavian.
Other four are so close, that is why i thought it is sweden, which it is not.

"Importor Skandinavisk Motor Co." At the bottom of the last page.

Is that a clue? confused24.gif

Svedish yah? A fantastic find....This brochure looks similar to a few others, is it 1972? That e-brake light and seat bolsters are really cool...
olav

Nice to see they are comparing the 914 to a real race car what ever it is.

Volkswagen importeres til Danmark af Skandinavisk Motor Co. A/S, som er et selskab i Semler Gruppen

Google "Porsche 917 history". Arguably the most reveared/feared/loved/hated race car in history. It literally ruled the earth in it's day.

Interesting that they show an "S" model... looks like different wheels/tires, gauges, horns and??

will a good translation answer any of the "equipment for other countries" questions?

I know...I've got the US brochure that shows an "S" in '74 IIRC....and my understanding is that the designation raised a few eyebrows at Porsche AG when it was done by the American marketing people....not so? confused24.gif

no.

the "S" was the "S-Paket", where S stands for Sport and Paket means Package, so

S = Sport Package

the "S" included:

Forged Alloy Wheels, front and rear Sway Bars and Halogen Headlights

the "S-Paket" was renamed "Grand-Tourisme-Austattung" in '74 and included a new Frontspoiler design, front and rear Sway Bars and Mahle Alloy Wheels

All 73 2.0's were "S" models, they all came with all the options you listed. I have 4732906003 and is has the same equipment. Should also have a rear sway bay and a console w/ gauges.

i seriously doubt that *all* of them came that way. in all the original porsche literature i have seen this is listed as an option.

now, i certainly can see how most buyers could have been talked into these options by the dealers ...

Really, I thought all US 73 2.0's came with sway bars, Fuchs, gauge console, chrome bumpers & fog lamps. confused24.gif In 74 they made everyting an option to cut costs. I have a 73 brochure at home, will have to take a look.
Gustl
just take a look at the '73 brochures
it shows a teener without center console - and another one with the center console, titled
"And to tempt you with extra pleasures, the 914 S."

at the back page they list all tech.data for the "914" and the "914 S"

it's just the same for the US brochure as well as for the CAN brochure
