we did this topic in another thread recently.
the thing with the Euro cooler is that it's driven from a spur gear off the side of the diff carrier. when you flip the R&P, you lose the pump drive. if you invert the transmission, you lose the gravity inlet drain to the pump, which wants to be at the low point.
only the latest 915's - those sold with the '84-'85 3,2 Carreras - and only the Euro cars - had this type of cooler.
you could use a pump arrangement as found on the '74-'75 era RSR's - but those are rare and expensive and have been out of production for 30 years... (and take up space we'd like to use for mufflers and such...)
there's no lack of early 915's especially from the 911SC era.
