Give me some date and I will work with the locals to set something up. Good test for the new az914 Yahoo news group.

I'm currently available on the 25th.
That Saturday and Sunday is the Arizona PCA Region Concours, Charity Banquet and Autocross. The car show and concours is at Cave Creek/Care Free, AZ (just north of Phoenix). There is a party on Friday night and a banquet on Saturday night. The autocross is at McDowell Mountain Park on a road course. This is a really fun weekend for Porsche lovers.
P.S. The Club president and three board members are all 914 owners. So is the Charity Chair (Greg Robbins)

I would like the 25th. It will keep me from sitting in a hotel room alone on my birthday!!!
Where? Same place as last time? Or someplace new and different? I don't mind driving in to Phoenix a little farther.

Clay! Are you friggin nuts?? You have any idea how much a tow from there costs?
Just kidding, I'll go anywhere. However, where we met Clay last time he was here and Mesa are on complete opposite ends of the Valley. Just as an FYI.

The 25th sounds great. Clay is driving all the way from Yuma, so lets not add too much to his drive. How about Sams Cafe at the Arizona Center. I can arrange parking at the Bank One Tower Parking garage for everyone. Sams has a great outdoor dining area (with heaters if needed). Pretty darn good food too.
Sams is at 5th Street and Van Buren, just off I-10, in Downtown Phoenix.

Would this be one of those events that we could use that "Yahoo group thingy" to notify everyone? I can already hear ol' Snuff posting the day after saying he wished he had known about it!
I would do it but I'm not all that smooth with that stuff.

Posted to the az914 Yahoo group.
By the way, it that fitting: we are now officially a group of yahoos?
Clay is making a long drive, so I will be there about 6:30. PM me if you are going to attend, and I will let Sam's Cafe know so they can set something up for us.
Clay and others: Take I-10 to the Seventh Street off ramp. Go right (south) to Van Buren. Go right to 1st Street, take a left and go a couple hundred feet to the parking garage enterance. I will grab a location where we can all park together, so drive in the garage until you see my green car. Every one else, enter off 1st street so we can all park at the same spot. If you enter off 2nd, you end up a level off.
Anyone with questions, call my cell at 623-297-4084.

Call out to the Phoenix area teeners: email, PM, or call me so I can give the restaurant a head count. If you have already confirmed, thanks. But if I have not heard from you, speak (type) up.

Sorry to do this to you, but I am still at work, and I have had only 4 hours of sleep in the last 36 hours. I don't think I am up for a 2 hour drive to Phoneix tonight.
Hope to catch up with everyone at a later date...

Thanks for the call out Mike.
We had six 914 locals show up to welcome Mike and share

.
Server talked all of us into ordering the Meat Loaf.

Everyone seemed to enjoy it very much!
Lots of good conversation and visiting. Only two running 914s, but many jack stand stories with promises of "next time."
Clay, sorry you weren't there, but we completely understand. Thanks Mike, we hope you visit again soon!

Hey all,
thanks for meeting up with me last night, at first I was not sure if I was at the correct place...sorta felt like a blind date and that I was going to get stood up

That meatloaf was darn good...unlike everyone else at the table, I didn't clean my plate so now I have leftovers for dinner tonight
Looks like tonight will be my last night here in AZ, I'm hoping to get out of here in the morning, one more meeting at noon, then off to go visit Jim at Patrick Motorsports
Grag, your car sounded great with that header w/supertrapp !!!!
Mike W, very nice and clean car !!!!
thanks again guys, I appreciate the hospitality
