does it hang out in that circular thing on the bottom of the tank?

or is it somewhere else....

i'm not going to take the tank out....

i think mine's already been removed......

you should be able to see it looking into the tank.....I don't think you can reach it from the top unless you have really, really skinny arms.........

It's on the end of the fuel outlet fitting, inside the tank. You have to drain and remove the tank to replace it.

okay....

well i DO see two little fittings (when looking into the tank) which i assume is where the filter would sit on top of

this is all in the cylindrical feauture inside the tank....

so i guess this means i dont have one....

tank looks nice though.....

Across the river in New Albany, IN there is little shop called "Happys" located at 153 E. Main ph.(812) 945-8921.

Its a little shop that specializes in VW bug parts, but they have the strainer sock as well as the proper sealant if you ever split the case.
