trying to find the offset for 73 914 rims. converted to 5 lug and trying to find right 17" porsche rims. Does anyone know up to what year will work with flares and what the offset is front and rear? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ~Wells~

for 17" Porsche rims, pretty much all of them will fit under GT style flares until you go wider than 9" (some people have run 10" rims, depends on the flares)

7s front and 9s rear are the common size

the offsets generally range from 50mm to 55mm so spacer will have to be used.....

agree.gif none of the common 5-lug wheels have a offset deep enough to fill a GT flare without some spacers ...

i have seen custom 3-piece wheels with really deep offsets, but again, off the shelf will need spacers.

10" wheel under a standard rear GT flare *will* rub ...

SC flares or gt flares??

Boxter 17's should fit under sc flares. but you might have to go with 245 45 17 tires on the back.

SC flares on 914's are misleading if you go by 911 standards*, you don't gain much at all compared to the GT flares

*7" early body 911, 9" with SC flares, but on a 914, you barely get an increase enough for an 8" rim
