Those pictures in Andys post are also in 914 FIA Homolog. papers. My current rears looks quite same ohmy.gif .

check out the lic.plate - you can find it on every 2nd of the early german mag ads and on various cars in sales brochures ...

Good catch on the passenger head rest.
I think that the driver had a racing seat on his side.
And ye sit does have door handles, it's just hard to see since they seem to be painted flat black.
