Heyas all,

This is my first time posting on the board. I have a '73 914 with the 1.7 still injected. I came home from being out of town for the past 8 days and went to drive the teener and realized that it did not want to rev past 4k when under load. I left the house and went around the corner and began to accelerate it was fine until I hit 4k RPM. After wondering and limping around the block I returned home and began to think about what may cause this. My initial thoughts went to my vacuum lines, but I was hoping for some more input before I delve into it on sunday.

clean and regrease distributor.
Check position of Throttle switch.
make sure all vacuum lines are connected...

I would say dizzy though.
