so i was driving today and i noticed the car to be even more loud than normal.
so i drove it pretty hard for a few minutes to make sure everything was ok, no misses or anything.
nothing was wrong just a weird sound.

so i got home and parked and went and looked at my exhaust (monza on stock 1.7 HE)
and found my passenger side gasket to be missing kinda...
the metal is there but the rubber or whatever it is was gone

so does anyone have any idea what happened?

The muffler gaskets were an asbestos type material sandwiched between metal covers. If you have blown out the filler material I would think that the gasket was not properly clamped in place to begin with. You may also have a plugged muffler creating enough back pressure to blow out the gasket.
