Can any of you guys point me to the site where the guy converted his tailshifter to cable? Or was it a sideshifter? He used parts I believe out of an Eclipse.
Thanks

He used the shift lever out of an Eclipse, but pretty much any cable shift lever will work. The arrangement at the transaxle he made himself, and it looks like you could drag battleship around with it, it's so, um, sturdy. Someone else posted a photo of a tailshifter with Hyundai Scoupe linkage bits at the back, which not only required a lot less fabrication, but are much smaller and lighter than Eric's setup, too. Again, I strongly suspect the transaxle linkage bits from many cable-shifted cars could be adapted to the tailshifter.

Cool thanks for the info.
What I'm looking into doing is flipping the ring gear and using this cable set-up for a Westy. This should solve the linkage problem.
It's going to be watercooled.
Did I sneak this in under the OT radar? unsure.gif
