not a spring or a split washer. it has teeth that bit into each surface...

if they don't well at least you looked....
Hardware stores carry metric stuff......i'd try there, like a true-value or like a home depot (but HD doesnt have jack)

Not vintage (old), besides one would not get to go to store and ask for "sleeping washers".

By the way, I believe Cap'n Krusty has stated a few times that in place of the cheap paper CV washer, RTV works wonders too!

CV joint bolts (the ones that bolt the cv joints to the flange). They are a style of an "internal lock washer".
