John

not a spring or a split washer. it has teeth that bit into each surface...
McMark
It has teeth, but it is also conical, from what I remember.
Allan

And what's wrong with Loctite in their place with a normal spring washer?

Not vintage (old), besides one would not get to go to store and ask for "sleeping washers". lol2.gif

By the way, I believe Cap'n Krusty has stated a few times that in place of the cheap paper CV washer, RTV works wonders too!

Old heh...... wink.gif

CV joint bolts (the ones that bolt the cv joints to the flange). They are a style of an "internal lock washer".

I guess I'm unsafe...I use locktite sad.gif
