Anybody have an idea why fuel would be dripping into carb from choke nozzle. Just replaced needles and set float height. Needle set at .709", float tab set at .709" and float at .50 approx. With fuel pump on fuel is dripping into the carb barrel on two banks (side by side).
carbs are 40 idtp 13c1
possible leak around needle washers that set needle height?
thanks

Stuck needle valve?
That's what was happening to me when my needle valve got stuck open.
I have Weber IDA3C's.

That would be a pisser, since they're new. I'll swap'em and see if the problem moves.
Thanks

Did you set them with the sight vial tool and with the engine running?

too much fuel pressure maybe...2.5 lbs. should be enough

no didn't use a sight vial. I used the caliper method described in the Haynes Weber manual. (yes I added the thickness of the feeler gage) The other bank "looks fine", no dripping fuel with the pump running.
I should probably invest in a vial indicator, but for right now I'm under abit of time pressure to get this thing running again.
I'll check fuel pressure as well. thanks

Stuck needle -- it has happened to me (I think) 4 times now, including today at the track
They can clog/stick with the
tiniest little piece of debris.
