I just purchased a used set of bilstein shocks for the front and rear of my 914. I know that you can have them re-valved, but I do not know the indications for having this done. Anybody know of a way to test whether they can be used as is, or sent for the re-valve first? Thanks, Steve

yes they can be revalved, and its not a really expensive procedure. Send the to Bilstien in San Diego. and let them know the corner weights of the car, the HP of the car, and the intended use of the car, and they will valve to suit. I had my RSR inserts done a few years ago and the cost was $110/pair

Bilstein Services price went up since I had it done
