Yes,
I did, please watch, on Sunday.
I am pretty far back, but the in car video is posted on this site. And don't give me too much crap, if they show my interview, I was pretty emotional.

PS: 1:00 EST for those of us out here.

Congratulations! Awesome video by the way and I would be emotional too if I won a national event.
Are you getting loads of sponsorships tossed at you now?

Dec 9 2005, 07:41 PM
Erik, you're likely the envy of this whole board. I was yelping at the end of your in-car video, even though I knew the result beforehand.
No need for qualifications.......what a ride!

Sponsorship has been the same.
Mostly contingency sponsors, for products which works well.
A local pest control company, and and engine machine shop. As far as personal sponsors, I have a couple people that help out of the kindness of their hearts. Which is great.
Hope the coverage is good.

Been waiting for this one for a while now. I love the production classes. It's amazing how smooth those cars are as compared to something like, oh... AS
Those AS guys are like ballz to the wall, sliding all over the place.

i wish speed would use the in car footage of the "infamous" maita for the lead in. i've been very surprised at the incidents that seem to happen on the first few laps in every class.

Looked like fun, but, a bunch of hacks out there too. Glad to see you come through clean!

Do "hacks" really make it to the runoffs?
Excellent piece of driving E. The shot from behind that showed you weaving through the carnage as they duked it out for the top spot was extremely impressive. Stay on the throttle and point for the blue sky.
I'm glad I was able to catch it today.
Erik... you were able to pull off what most of use here only dream about.

One more comment the announcers made was that this was THE BIG STORY of the Runoffs so far this year.
...and the fiat comment, wtf was up with that?
At least Greg Creamer got it straight right afterwards.

Thanks Everyone,
Just call me Dr. Miracle
FIAT???? WTF These
Need to get their heads out of their
and take a fresh breath. But I've got to give Greg Creamer his "props" he caught the mistake.
For me personally, most of these guys are way too sedate when they win, almost like they are too cool to look like it means something. You won, even if it is a local regional race, you won, celebrate like the world is coming to an end, you never know when it will be your time to go. I celebrated like that at Watkins Glen this year, too bad there were no Victory laps for the winner.
I had one helluva week. We worked really hard, and some of you may not know the car was completed only 10 minute before the first practice on Monday. then I got black flagged in that practice after only a couple laps for a non compliant roll cage hoop??? They thought I was sitting too high in the car. We had to remount the seat before the next day and cut the windscreen down so I could see. It was crazy. Then the wheels, and the next day air for new studs, and the bent trailing arm.... ETC
It was alot of fun, and the journey was better than the prize. Which is really how it should be.
Thanks again for eveyones support. It was key in getting there.
