Are you trying to save the gear or put a new gear on the cam????

So....you need a cam gear is it?
New, if you want to use the old one machining is involved.

Better to buy a new one. They are only about $30 or so. If you try and re-use the old one, you will have to drill out the rivets, and then have the holes in the cam gear counterbored to make room for the bolt heads. If you don't counterbore, then the bolt heads will hit the oil pump. Just not worth it for $30.

Most of the stock cams are magnesium and WILL fail given the opportunity.
I'd replace it.

Ok
So new gear, got it
I bought Jakes 5022 "oil pump RAT Mod 26mm #5022"
Is that a type one that needs the type one mod gear or type IV?

you need a RAT 8312- Thats the gear that matches your pump..
My above post shoudl ahve read "Cam gear"- not "CAM"
BTW- we are going over the store site everyday, soon all the pumps and cam gears will be sold as matched sets only, I'm tired of all the questions associated with the compatibility-

How about editing web site to say which gear goes with each pump?
Anyway, sent you an order for the gear

Its more difficult than that.... Then everyone wants to use their stock gear the way you did!
This way their is no confusion- they are a matched pair..
Same thing goes with cams and lifters, oneis not available without the other..
