I thought this Pantera Targa Top looked way to familiar.
It also looks like its painted adriatic Blue.
Steve
This is a picture of the front mounts.
The owner said I was the first person that recognized it since he did it.

I cant believe how well it fits.. Even the top rubber strip look "natural" on it.

I like it. He did a good job.

Thanks for the pics...

I bet it's just a 914 with a body kit on it laugh.gif
Steve
At first I thought it came that way from the factory.
Then I realized it was 914 parts.
The owner said he had to weld in strips of metal under the frame to make up for the missing top.
He did an awesome job.
I always loved the looks of the Pantera.
But the Ford V8 definetly doesn't sound as cool as a Porsche six or an Italian 12.

Steve
It's a real Pantera.
I should of got more Pics of it.
But everything else on it was stock and looked the same as all the other Pantera's there.

sorta related.....

there are at least 2 914 V8's running around in the Bay Area with ZF tranaxles in them from a Pantera......

Any Panteras there with the new Ford modular motor?

A family friend had a sweet yellow Pantera with 4 Webers on it.....looked wicked smile.gif
Steve
All the Pantera's there were semi stock 351 clevelands.
They either had webers on them or a holley.
The new Ford GT was there and it looked totally awesome.
I didn't get a chance to find out what Ford will want for it.
But they definetly said there going to build it and the one there was a preproduction unit.

ohmy.gif I beg to differ...
but thats just my humble opinion and I should say I grew up driving my parents '66 GT 'stang and had two cousins with a GT350 and GT500. Nuthin like that growl of a gas-chuggin V8!

Along those lines... anyone heard a new M5 when its really opened up.. pretty sweet soundin' (for a "refined" german luxury sedan).

I'll admit '60s era v12 ARE pretty cool in their own right. beer.gif (High School friend's dad used to have a Lambo Miura) ..but its just different... too smooth to impress tha ladies. happy11.gif

I Didn't mean to offend the muscle crowd.
I also love the sound of a real muscle car.
But most of the Pantera's I heard were stock and boring.
I'm used to hearing my friends cars with serious cams.
