So if you have nice pic of race 914 with a good theme, please post it.

Greg,

What whels are those? Do you remember the other wheels I had on the car? 16x7 Revolutions, they look similar. I am going to put them on E Bay.
I have no udea what they are worth.

Most race cars in the 70's were pretty boring as far as paint and graphics went. The ability to do wild and imaganitive things with vinyl had not been invented yet. The sharpest of the time (I think) is the Martini paint scheme and a lot of cars are using it today. For my 914 I went with a bright blue with really bright orange numbers and it stands out pretty well.
Aaron Cox
i like the gulf blue/orange along with the martini scheme
J P Stein
Just my opinion, of course, but most "grapics" make a car look like shit. Graphics that inhance a cars lines get my vote.
Look at Roger Penske's or Dan Gurney's Can AM cars for examples. The 914 ain't exactly pretty to start with and hanging stuff all over it doesn't help. John, yours is one of the better ones, tho.

OK, so I'm old school.....shoot me. biggrin.gif

I've hated Gulf blue & orange forever....maybe longer.
Senocco blue & gold is glorius. wub.gif

Something more modern?. MaClaren's F1 car.

that 917 with scallops looks cool. It just seems that it doesn't work so well in 914. I like the gulf theme but i would like to try something else.
I'we been doing graphics to other peoples cars but it seems that i can't come up with any idea with my car. I have my own plotter and i would really like to try something wild this time.

I used the old Scarab race cars from the '60s as inspiration for my paint scheme. It's a rough paint job but I'm happy with the look.
J P Stein
The Scarab was one of the prettiest cars to ever grace a race track.....it's a matter of taste, I guess. I've been looking at my car trying to come up with something as it's a touch blah.
I'm drawing a blank. idea.gif

ohmy.gif Mika, This 914-6 belongs to a friend of mine. He raced it for a few years with the POC and then went over to the DARKSIDE 911.
carr914
xitspd, you say the owner of the #998 yellow car is a friend of yours. Can you get some info on that rear wing, I want one?

The black #22 won its class at the SCCA runoffs so maybe Excellence or Panorama will do a feature about it. It was raced for many years by its original owner. I remember seeing it when the SCCA runoffs used to be held at Road Atlanta, before moving to Mid-Ohio.

gulf colors...

Hay, good lookin' car, fgdfgfd, tho that's just my opinion.

You need to hang some more shittage on it to be a hit with the wankers here, tho.....flames, stripes, clashing colors.....and most important STICKIES..... lotso'stickies. laugh.gif

Really nice car's.
I think gulf colours, but with Jeroens design, or something mixed.
Jeroen, would it be too much to ask if you could do a picture with gulf type colurs and your design?
I don't know photoshop, so my way to try these is to make graphics to my car and then decide if it's good or not. That's just too much work.
Or if you guys know some simple way to convert the colours by myself that would be nice.

As soon as i get my car's bodywork done it will look like that. Naturally with lotso'stickies so JP's blood pressure stays high, check your medicine wink.gif

How'd you do that? Can you change back and forth at will?

Here's mine... Influenced by the Team Surtees Lola's of the 60's Can Am.
