I'm doing a bit of rust repair on my '72. I started by cutting out the old right engine shelf and I found some rust on the bracket that hangs from the frame and supports the right engine mount. Anyway, the deeper I dug the worse the rust got (as was to be expected). Most of the rust is actually on the frame/longitudinal but it's behind the bracket. So I had to cut sawzall-smiley.gif the bracket off to clear the rust and repair the area.

I need a new right engine mount bracket.

Can anyone help? I can't find one for sale at the usual places (pelican, automobile atlanta, a google search, ebay)
Anyone in Baltimore/DC area with a parts car from which I could cut one?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Try restoration design.

If not there...possibly used...
It could be made out of probably 16 or 18 guage steel...

Not really that difficult...copy the one on the other side...

So after hacking the top of the bracket I discovered a bunch of spot welds on the bottom. So I drilled those out and the rest of the bracket basically fell off the car in one piece. So I'll I need to do is repair the top portion I mangled.

I think it's actually 14 guage steel.

Thanks again
