Why not shoot the moon and go for a 1.7L.....and pull a plug wire.

You'll need to:
1) convert to a side shifter while you're in there.
2) find solid discs or drill out four holes for your lug studs.
3) call the scrap man to take that 6 cyl. boat anchor off your hands.
4) buy a new set of carbs.
5) find a passenger seat that slides and a new back pad.
If it has the GT flares, you'll have to shave those,too!

It could get expensive!
If your serious about it I have some 1975 bumbers that may retro fit!
PM me

What size six?

Can't you just remove 2 spark plugs and Injector harnesses?

Cost = 0

this may be off topic, but how much would it cost to put a Chevy Vega motor in my Carrera GT? This thing has too much power. ohmy.gif

Well first you will need to have custom crank made so that you cut the stock stroke down, then you will need some custom pistons with raised pins. And of course you could go with a longer rod so you can get the better rod-stroke ratio. Better go to bigger valves so you can rev higher and better springs to take advantage of the higher rpm capabilities.
Brett W
Oh my bad you meant THAT other 1.8. headbang.gif biggrin.gif
