Could any of you tell me how to kill the buzzer in my '72 that won't stop until the driver's seat belt is hooked (with the key on). Now I do drive with the belts buckled but when working on the car it's an ass ache to have to buckle the belt just to stop the buzzing.
Maybe just unplugging the wire under the seat will do it??

take out passenger seat.
The buzzer is the smaller relay.
Unplug it.
Also...the two large wires that go into the larger relay are your start disengage system....
The fix is to remove the large relay and jumper those two large wires together using two male spades and a short piece of wire...
Good luck.

On a 72 pull the fuse block down and remove the silver relay. That should fix you up. The fix under the seat is for 74 up.

That is what I remember from removing mine too many years ago. With it buzzing you can't miss it!
