So what are the details of this 914? Is it worth the trouble to look at?

I am by no means an expert on the 914. However, I do know enough that I can tell that it is a four so they can't be original alloys.

Looks like a nice car though.

i called the guy yesterday. he bought the car a couple of months ago after seeing it parked with a sign. (he says) he has no idea what kind of engine is in it and knows nothing about 914's. he just needs to sell it. it is not a six though, as the ignition is on the right.

Exactly. You can see the keys hanging down.

Those polished Fuchs are my favorite whells. Looks good.

I looked at this car a year ago when it was for sale then...
what I remember:

Non orig very metalic orange respray, over either red or orange, sub par paint job IMO, and hiding bodywork IMO.

Two of the wheels were original deep sixes, two were fakes. that could have changed since the previous owner had all four fakes and knew the value of deep sixes.

I looked at in the dark, but I remember I passed because I saw to much rust and poor paint that could have been hiding more.
