What specifically does fuse #5 do...I know its in the lighting circuit...
It seems to heat up after about a minute or so and then burns...
So, I need to chase it down...I just want to know where to start...the haynes manual is of no help to me...that is all we have here...
I am hoping to save some testing time...please save me an hour or two of chasing wires...

come on all you smarty pants....
According to this #5 handles the drivers side parking lamps.
What year is your car? The wiring diagrams will tell you what is "fed" by which fuse. For instance, the 1974 cars "feed" the left-side parking lights and side markers and such off fuse #5.
