What are your thoughts??
Mike D.
Can't wait, I've been listening all morning, and for the last week as much as possible. In fact, I've late in to work for the last week because I can't get out of the car until a break comes on. I find myself laughing out loud in my car by my self and other people in traffic are stairing... huh.gif

Love it, lesbians rule, Baba booy, baba booy, flafla flooy, F Jacky....

It's about time.

Now only if he'd move his show from Eonline to Showtime he'd be golden.
nomore9one4
I can't wait until he's gone! He's is without question a genius, but I do not want to listen to his stromberg.gif first thing in the morning. beer.gif

agree.gif Radio personalities are on the radio for a reason... usually because they're too hard on the eyes for TV.

Howard's okay in small doses. I can't take waking up to him everyday though.

I don't listen to him....I don't like him or his style....a permanent removal from the face of the earth would be fine by me.

And my opinion is not because I'm old............................
Part Pricer

Hoo Hoo Howard hasn't been funny in at least ten years. Even he will admit it. Also he hasn't done anything even remotely creative or innovatve for about the same period.

Being off of terestrial radio may free him, but I see nothing that indicates he will create any innovative or compelling radio based on the items that he has already programmed on his channels.

I've got Sirius and XM, and I'm sure that I'll sample his new show. But, he won't be my first choice in the mornings.

Never listened to him or seen him on TV. But I have heard he was a crack up at one time or another. yawn.gif

I was looking purchasing the XM or Sirius setups for a while.....

The dealmaker was Stern and NFL on Sirius.

Funny thing is that I have had Sirius now for a few months, I have not tuned into Stern once on the terrestial radio....will I listen to him on Sirius?, I'm sure I will once in while, but like Jen mentioned, the stuff gets old real quick and I would normally only tune in for certain parts of the show, once he got too out there or perverted I'd switch channels, something the naysayers or anti-Stern people don't understand about freedom of speech and choice screwy.gif

He's so hit and miss. I do get tired of some of the 'characters' on the show.

I really like his interviews with famous personalities, but I as soon as the show turns to strippers and porn, I get bored. I'm male, btw, and like a good moaning naked woman as much as the next guy, shocked[1].gif but I lose interest real quick when things get predictable. yellowsleep[1].gif

I think he can be pretty damn funny, but it just doesn't seem to happen that often.
I do wish he was staying on radio though as I'm too cheap to pay for satellite. rolleyes.gif

Good riddance

Then again I havent listened to Stern for years..so it doesnt matter which format he is on.. I decided he was old and tiring years ago.

His act becomes tiresome in short order. I sure won't pay to hear it.

Ahhh geeeez Geoff, I thought he would have rated at least 10 Strombergs and a ............... pain30.gif

I think he's been phoning it in for years now. Strippers and porn have made him a one trick pony; he hasn't done anything funny for years.

On the other hand, there are lots of radio stations, so everyone can have their choice. If satellite is willing to pay him that much money, someone must like him. Thank God we have many choices.
URY914
I think its pretty funny when Robin reads the news items at the end of the show.
His wise cracks can be funny. That's only about 10% of the whole show.
brp914
his show is alright. the problem is all the commercials. I'd turn down the volume when the commercials came on, but by the time I'd remember to turn it back up, they'd already be into the next set of commercials. Well, I guess the good thing is, if you have dish network, you get sirius radio for free. so when the commercials come on you can switch over to some good commercial-free music.
campbellcj
Howard never did anything for me. Once in a while his porn star guests were another story, at least on TV, as what good is a porn star on radio??? Good riddance, maybe I'm gettin' old but I mainly listen to CD's and AM news/talk radio these days. LA radio sux.
rick 918-S
Howard Who? "L" on his forehead
ottox914
Maybe on his "move" he'll get lost along the way and just be gone.

O & A party rock!

(XM rules)
Elliot_Cannon
His show got stagnant because of the morons at the FCC. If you don't like what people of his ilk are doing. Do what I do. Turn it OFF.
Elliot

Howard's been played out for years.

O&A were funny at first but they get boring too... same stromberg.gif different day.

I mostly listen to Bob & Tom these days. At least they have different guests everyday so it makes it somewhat interesting. Oh no Godzirra....ahhhhhh.

After them it's on to Jim Rome in the afternoon (I know for all of you on the left coast thats at 9:00 AM).

WAR... 914's and all the clones here.

Yes,my radio has several channels. Unfortunatly when you work with people whose choice is to listen to him you have no choice! chair.gif

I know for a fact that Howard has owned a few 914s over the years and is currently restoring one for his daughter.
Pictures below:

For a moment there you were about to change your mind about old Howard. Anyone that can surround himself with porn 24/7 is a genius.

I think the amazing thing a lot of people are finding when they follow Stern to Sirius is Sirius itself... It is so amazing to have any genre of music available commercial free. I was sold within 20 miles when riding with a friend.

I am not much of a Howard listener but I have to agree that the FCC has stifled any talent he has. It should be interesting right from the start.

I am sure that not all would agree but I think Howard Stern on terrestrial radio is akin to giving a paint brush and pallette to a master artist and telling him not to use the color blue...

And well, if he owns a 914...

The FCC is going after cable operators now. They want them to clean up their act. When is government intervention into freedom of speech going to stop? I guess it might be when democrats are re-elected to the white house.

I think Stern's interviews of celebrities are genius. The stripper stuff is boring and actually works better for his tv show.

Spoke
The only radio I listened to was Howard. Although the commercials were too long, I would play CDs until the commercials were over. Now I won't listen to any radio, just CDs. I won't buy a satellite radio so I guess I won't hear Howard except for his TV shows.

Like what was described before, there were times when I've sat in my car once at work and listened to an interview or bit and laughed out loud. I've always thought his stuff was funny. When I wasn't amused, I listened to some music. His show made my PA-to-NJ commutes tolerable in the morning, gave me a good 1-2 hours of listening.

Could care less where he goes. His show was like a 4 hour radio version of Beavis and Butthead. It got old after about ten minutes. I just never really thought he was very entertaining.

with all of the people here who don't like him it has still sparked a two page thread. That is what he was about, cotroversy. He has been doing the same act for twenty years but his ratings speaks for itself #1 everywhere he goes.

A person who can make a career out of strippers, crackheads and retards, Genius!

F Jackie and Elliot offen, RIGHT!! HEY RETARD!!

I can't stand the guy, he needs new material. I might be in a small majority, but I wish he would simply go away.
And no I don't listen to him. Tried once, and his show didn't do anything for me. If it's your cup of tea, go for it.
