Since I don't have a Haynes manual for a /6 I was wondering how you go about setting the timing while it is installed in a 914? Where are the timing marks and how do you get to them?

you should see this looking down onto the engine/tranny

If you have pre-marked your flywheel, Tim's pic is good.

If not, the timing marks are on your front pully....at
TDC, 5 DEG BTDC, & 35 deg BTDC. You'll need mirrors & stuff.
Or, cut a hole in yourfire wall.
Or set the front pully at TDC and mark that on the flywheel(even with the case split),5deg & do the same,35deg & do the same.
