I'm sure you're right.
All I know is that it showed up with the wording in mostly consonents and a very limited use of vowels..

It seems to resemble asian text when you don't have the "asian language plug-in" or something similiar to that. I don't have the correct plug-in installed on this computer, but I bet it probably is Japenese too.

Yup, .jp is Japanese site. You do need the plugins from Microsoft.

I can confirm it is Japanese. I used our favorite German translator Babel fish,

Hmmm... As others have pointed out, maybe you need some sort of plugin to display the Japanese
characters. It worked just fine on my Mac at home though somewhat less fine from Firefox on
my Solaris box at work.
