looking for your ideas on this ...

when driving the car before it is at full operating temp at about 2.5 K - 3 K rpm while accelerating , it has a hesitation .

but once it is up to operating temp ans has be driven for a bit -- it goes away...

any ideas

Most days when driving the 914, I feel the same way, just not enough acceleration. sad.gif

To answer your question... your 2.0 is it carbs or D-Jet? D-Jet should have the Auxilary Air Valve... It lets more air and fuel in to aid in warmup.

It's a good reason to let your car warmup a few minutes (I usually wait about 5) before driving. Theoretically on a brand new engine with all new everything, you wouldn't notice any impact on pre-warmed up driving. But then again, it's all 30+ years old.
