Dan, those are factory pipes. They come on the version of the v-rod called the "night rod" which is new for 2006. That model has the foot controls straight down from the seat versus foward (more comfortable for us dirt and crotch rocket riders).
Jim
p.s. controls are hidden by my legs....it does have forward foot pegs for highway cruising

Sorry about the OT, but you asked...
This same guy has done business on E-Bay as FastClassics, CarreraClassics, Born2BFast, and other DBAs. His name is Wayne Krieger. He's been scamming people since the 1980s. He's had restoration shops in California from Monterey to Novato. He had a business in San Francisco called Mr Porsche when he scammed me for about 2K. People have been screwed a lot worse by him, believe me.
He was involved in an "insurance" fire in Novato a couple of years ago (Britain, this was at about the same time you and I were working in Brad's shop up there). He's been shot by an angry customer. Also been busted for selling drugs to an undercover officer. I found all this out when I sued him (twice, and won a judgement both times). The Marin County DA was going after him for fraud a couple of years ago - don't know if it was related to the "insurance" fire or not.
He's well known on the 356Registry list. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY! You'll regret it, I guarantee you. I'm surprised that he hasn't been mentioned here before by some of us Bay Area Porschephiles. There's a thread about him on the Bird Board, I think. (maybe rennlist)

I had an early 911 for >10 years and can see myself in some kind of non-914 p-car in the not too distant future. Funds permitting, I am most excited about the Cayman S (or a used GT3) but it will be REALLY tough to justify having two 2-seaters (...kids...), so odds are high it would need to be at least a newer-ish 911 or
a Cayenne.
(Actually the Cayenne might even fly as a company car...911 wouldn't...hmmmmmm.)
