I just wanted to ask you if the graphics that we use a IMG link for were copied locally to the server?

If not, I'll probably download the images I post if they are from elsewhere and then upload myself so they will be on the server. My thoughts in doing this are that there will be broken links if the webpage I took them from changes.

Nope. Only the ones uploaded. You are correct in your thinking about the links breaking if you move the pics from their current location.
