My 76 just runs and handles better after a good wash and some tire black, does this happen to anyone else ?. For extra speed I vacuum and treat the interior vinyl. driving.gif

I find my cars run better and faster right after I fill up the tank.

Once every few months, I take gate passes and such out of the center tray, good for about 2mph..

Cleaning out the glovebox is tantamount to having the RSR model..

A wash and vacumn is always good for 1-2mph.. the big gains though can be found with a good wax job - now thats like dropping in a 3.0l wink.gif

You mean like dropping the clutch at 4000 with wet tires?

Cleaning does make it go faster.
Changing the oil make it go slower. confused24.gif

I swear.

Paul Your oil is to heavy.

Actually, Jen's comment was right on with my experience.

My car seems to handle better (more balanced) with a full fuel tank.

dirty car, being washed by rain right now.

That is why we cornerweight the cars with a half tank of gas. Fill it up and it adds 36 some odd pounds to the front end. By the end of the race... you want to be just below half way.

You know they call it "30 weight" and "40 weight" but man, that seems too heavy. I'm looking for some "3 weight" or "4 weight". It has to make a difference.

Maybe I'll just leave out a quart or two.... idea.gif
