I need a little help here. as many of you know I am working on a Subaru engine and transmission no car cutting swap. I would really like a little help with some transmission measurements. If somesome has a 901 out of the car I need to know what the distance between the bottom of the trans to the input shaft is (lay the trans horizontal and measure from the floor to the center of the input shaft. My only 901 trans is in my running car and my wife would kill me if I yanked it out just to measure this (I really want her to try to drive the car with the wasted transmission in it before I do the swap.)

I get 5 and 7/8" from the center of the input shaft to the bottom of the bellhousing.. but that isn't the lowest point of the trans, further back it goes down a couple more inches, where the gearstack resides.
