A buddy of mine needs my help (LOL) installing a brand new Chevy crate motor into his '70 Chevy truck.

The new motor in question is the Ram-Jet 350hp fuel injected engine.

Supposedly it's a bolt-in and plug and play engine swap....anyone install one of these crate engines before?

no such thing as a 'bolt in'. never. headers will be fun. are you going to loan him the willwoods?

look at the u bolts that hold the lower control arm on. stock are 3/8 inch and they break. the dealer replacements are 1/2 diameter.

my wife had a 67 c10 when we got married. the windshield cowl was straight, but the rest of the truck had taken a beating. this particular u-bolt broke one day, so i would inspect his before you fire up the beast.

He should be fine Mike. I have been involved with one install using the Ramjet engine. They are pretty trick.
