Looks like an Abarth design on a VW or Porsche frame maybe? Don't think it is British, left drive, however it s design is like that of a Salmson car also, but my thinking is still Abarth. Them wheels really look VW/Porsche'ish of the 50's / early 60's.

Me now thinks it is a Beutler. A car builder in Switzerland who would use VW or Porsche chassis? It has the look anyway.
