Ok, REALLY really? I hiked 6 miles on Saturday. 2 days later I still feel great. I need to do that more often! I should have cleaned the garage but this was more fun.

I's been a productive last two days for the SC. Yesterday I dropped off my wheels at Al Reeds place for polish/paint, today I painted the trim around the rear quarter windows (sposed to be black anodized, was all worn off and shiny). I also tightened up my driver's mirror so it doan flop no more (insert viagra joke here).

I'm almost ready to attack the headliner, but I keep chickening out at the last second.
boxstr
Actually I drove to LA and saw more rain there than I have every seen in Oregon. They had more rain in two days than they had in five years, as per the weather person on the TV.

Ayup, cleaning up the shop so's I could move around and putting away tools so's I could take more out.

Got the flares done. Pulled the gas tank, popped out the old sway bar & started putting the new shinny one.
Geoff, your sway bar is ready to go.
I even read a couple of books so I could be as well informed as Andy <_<

Thank God the site is back. Now I can sit on my butt and veg.

I likewise cleaned the garage and started ripping into my new project.

Its a ton of fun taking out the interior of a 914 that hasn't ever been torn down before.

Glad its back.

I installed a Sparco Rev seat in my car. Now I can look like I'm going faster than I am. But I'm gonna have to cut out the junk food. This seat is snug. :cursor:

I got to do yet another brake job on my wife's Jeep. And I picked up another set of Fuchs and some miscellaneous 914/6 parts.
kafermeister
...I also got some NFS PU time in while the board was down. My SC struts arrived for my 914. I put them on the other pile of 914 stuff I'm not going to touch for a long time. unsure.gif

I'm getting a plan together to make my 1969 Beetle roadworthy for this spring so I can finally start on the 914...maybe....If I have to. rolleyes.gif

And I spent alot of time on www.thesamba.com looking through the classifieds for even more stuff I don't need. There is a few 914s out there as well.

Well I did shovel and plow a lot of snow. We had another 2 feet of it yesterday. I spent over 10 hours at it, but I can get my trailer in and out, and even make u-turns in the driveway. tongue.gif

I secretly prayed that it would not come back so I could get more done.

Timo, Your CF stuff looks good. The fan shroud looks just like the Roger Sheridan sells.

B
seanery
Timo,

Are you making that stuff?

If so, are you selling it, too!?
brant
timo,

ditto to the questions about your bumper.. are you installing or manufacturing?
I need a front and would consider CF over glass.....

If your installing, then where did you purchase, and what did your pre-purchase research teach you?

Smart-Racing sells the little diffuser insert thingies that go inside the rotor.

I was advised also that AJ-USA will sell individual pieces of their brake cooling kit. I haven't called them yet though.
914Timo
brant and seanery,

Thanks for interest. Yes, I have made those parts, but right now I am not going to make them for sale. Maybe later. I don´t have time now. Those I will install to my own 914. I will replace the old FG bumpers to the CF ones.
Brad Roberts
Getty Design sells all the parts you see in Carbon Fiber. You just have to ask for it.

I didnt want to say anything until after Timo answered.

Hmm, so is Navid's car all done? Is this a replacement to that doomed purple E36?

BTW, nice window net mount beerchug.gif

During the down time, I've been trying to get the 914 started! arg!!! I'm gonna replace the spark plugs tomorow to see if that can solve things.
FlatSix
Nobody said we had to do stuff... huh.gif
Tony C
Terrance, Yes the white car is the replacement for the crashed purple car. The white car is what he won the Nasa 12hour enduro in Decmeber with. The bolt-in cage that was in the car was actually from the purple car! They had to porta-power the cage in to make it fit. It was "lot's" of fun to take out.
