Cool!!
What paint are you using? factory single stage? or custom 2 stage?
Same color I'll be painting ( my factory color... not like anything else on the car is factory..)

The paint is PPG two stage.
L32K Phoenix Red.
Looks great in the sun. The pics don't do it justice.
As you can see the car was factory painted Delphi Green, PO painted it Bahia Red. Which wasn't a bad color but I decided to go ahead and do a color change to Orange. It is going to be 90+% track car, so why not have a nice bright color.
Not like I want it to stand out or anything

Kewl! I am kinda biased towards Phoenix Red...my current car's OE color although the repaint was I think either not a 100% match or has faded/bleached a tad. But I still love it! I don't actually like red, orange, or yellow that much, but this color is a salubrious blend that somehow works for me.

My first 914 was a Tangerine 1.7L and I always loved that color. Since my current chassis was a '74 I decided to go with the Phoenix Red to keep it period correct, even though the car was originally Delphi.

What?
You don't like Delphi? It is rather...ah..... unique whereas reds are a dime a dozen. Mine is now yellow, but I have a gud excuse. There was no way I was gonna do a first time DIY metallic impossible to match race car paint job. The yellow looks bad enuff

actually JP,
I had a'74 2.0L in Delphi about 10 years ago. Since my current car had already had a color change, I figured I would make it the color I really wanted. If it had still been original Delphi I would have repainted it Delphi.
You can see the original color in the pic of the rear of the car.

I was down there for a few hours today. Helped with the taping off for final sealer and paint. Was nice to actually help in the process. I haven't painted any vehicles since college when I used to do body repair and mechanical repair on school busses.
Maybe that is why I have an aversion to yellow vehicles now.
Sorry JP
