Sorry for the off topic request but I know several people here are in the technology business. I'm looking for a more reliable web hosting company. Not concerned so much about rock bottom price as reliability/up time and responsive support.

There are also some independent organizations that evaluate hosting services. Google will turn up a few. One example is upperhost.com but I haven't studied their reports so I don't know how good they are.

Mojam (my moonlighting company) gets a solo server from tummy.com. They have been fabulous. Our needs are probably more extensive than yours, but I suggest you check out their various products. Sean, Kevin and Scott are top-notch as is their infrastructure.

I've been using GoDaddy.com for over 2 years and have not had any problems. Of course, they have had some pretty "interesting" super bowl commercials, but those started after I discovered them.
