I noticed that most road racers and autox guys aren't using front fender flares and but have the rear on. Does the wider front tires not really do much since most weight is in the back?
Just curious why they are like this. I want to understand how the 914-6 suspension works best. Sorta in a 914-6 crash course and I feel way out of my element.

you can actually run wider rims/tires on the front than than the rear on a stock bodied car.....a 205 to a 225 is about max on the rear and that 225 will require some fudging of the fender....
I think it's mostly due to saving money or just liking the looks of the rear fenders.....the real race 914s will have a widened front track that'll have flares of some sort..
