okay, this is getting out of hand....I don't mind "people" leaving California, but these 914's that keep going up North is just too much to handle wacko.gif blink.gif

Whoo, I'd like to see that color in person.. It looks like it could surpass adriatic blue as my favorite 914 color. smile.gif

Craig:

How much are you selling this one for? I was at your web site and noticed that you have the Black Widow back. What happen?

I know those bumpers weigh allot but I really do like the way they look (yes I know, I'm about the only one who does) and with that 6/ in there should make up for that extra weight.

I hope you find a good home for that one (boy do I wish I had the cash for it)

wub.gif
Huff
I really love the color too and agree it looks good with the newer bumpers (of course I am partial to the 75-75 style). I am almost ready for painting, and was 99% sure of going back with the original L80 white, but now?

Anyone know of a cost yet and some specs on the motor? You guys from CA seem to know some history, how about sharing the inside scoop.

I've visited the camp914 web site a lot, but never seem to see the cars that are posted here listed for sale on the web site. Maybe my timing is just off though... confused24.gif

I'd be curious to know what the asking price is too...
boxstr
Robert and Phil, Alot of cars that arrive at CAMP are sold the day they arrive. The blue car is sold to the fellow who wanted to buy the black car. Instead I have the black car back for sale.
For those of you who really ,really like the Laguna blue I have another one at CAMP.

Hmm, so is watching the "Cars for sale" page at camp914.com not the best way to keep an eye out for a car there?

boxstr
Dan I have been working on the blue car in the background, that s why it is not on the CAMPSITE for sale page.
CCLINASKMEMORE
Huff
Can 914club members get a heads up on cars soon becoming available at camp 914 since watching the "for sale" link doesn't work very well as mentioned?

P.S. - what did it sell for?
jim_hoyland
Got to meet Allen, the owner of the blue 75 conversion. From the conversations we had, it sounds like it was well done.
He brought it over to Joe's bar-b-que; definately a very clean car. He put very few miles on it.

Some one is really going to enjoy that ride....
rhodyguy
what's the story with the yellow car with the yellow bumper?

k
Eric Taylor
Wasn't that the yellow six that came in with ferg's car?

So many six's so little time .... biggrin.gif

Eric
boxstr
The yellow car is a 6 from Ohio. It is SOLD, going to Ashland, Oregon.
Huff, I am not sure how to give a sneak peek to club people before anyone else.

your best bet is to call the phone # listed at camp914's website, give the "sales manager" your price range, and ask what cars are currently available.

agree.gif If your looking, best to just give Craig a call and give him specs and price range for what you want. Seems like much of his stuff under the $10k mark moves faster than he can post it for sale. wink.gif
rhodyguy
and if he doesn't have the one you want i bet he finds one for you. wink.gif

The car arrived Tuesday and I haven't even sat in her!!!!

I was the guy who was going to buy the black/red 6 conversion. Read my blog and you'll find out how much of a stand up guy Craig is! biggrin.gif

The PO is a great guy and did a fabulous job on the car. I am just waiting for Craig to feel good enough for me to head out and pick it up. (Being sick doesn't mean you can't be posting!)

The blue car is MINE ALL MINE!!!!! aktion035.gif

Owning this car will be like having a beautiful girlfriend... everyone wants her and wants to know what she is doing with a loser like you. laugh.gif
rhodyguy
the blue 4? nice clean car. where is stump town?

k
Root_Werks
Blue flared six, pay attention K. biggrin.gif
BKLA
Stumptown was a name given to Portland, Oregon when people would first visit in the 1800's due to all the clearing with stumps still exposed.

Trivial Trivia: Did you know that Oregons largest yearly import is Californians? Did you know that there was a state sponsored campaign in the '70's with bumper stickers that read "Don't Californicate Oregon". There was, and maybe still is.. an organization known as SNOB - Society of Native Oregon Born...

Everyone here is an import of some kind or another... or a desendent of one! biggrin.gif
rhodyguy
our stickers read "welcome to washington. now, go home." congrats on your purchase.

av-943.gif Everytime I talk to someone from out of state I always tell them how much it rains, how terrible the traffic is etc. But yet, they still come. screwy.gif

*I think* craig is also sort of picky about what he puts up for sale. He likes only finished cars or cars that don't need much. If you ever walk through CAMP914, you'll see a few other cars that look like drivers, but he will have little bits taken appart for cleaning and checking things out. So he doesn't post them for sale.

Like I said, best to send him what your looking for with a price point. If he doesn't have it, he'll probably find it for you. wink.gif
BKLA
Only a couple of mod's to the car are planned.

I plan to put the euro front turn signals on and install the ventilated disk trailing arms that I had Eric Shea build for me. (The 'teener has 911 S front suspension already.) I am also going to install a two in-two out RSR muffler that I have, in order to scare the neighborhood cats and small children. Other than that, I don't plan on doing any other changes in the immediate future. There is a PCA AX event at PIR the end of this month... depending on the weather, I may show up with the car.

I am considering putting the fiberglass GT bumpers on front and rear and painting them two tone orange / black - kind of like the Gulf 917's of yore... What do you think? Any graphics people want to do a concept photo/ rendering for me? drooley.gif

Let me know...

BTW - for those californians that think I "Stole" the car from California... The owner originally built the car in the Seattle area, moved around due to work and ended up in california.
