The PO didn't color match the trunks when he repainted. Was thinking of various (cheaper) options besides getting the trunks repainted. Has anyone painted their trunks with truck bed coatings like rhino liner? If so, any pics.

No, but I have used it on my front bumper, spoiler and rocker panels, and at least on my track car, it looks okay, and does not stone chip like paint always did.

IIRC Doug Hardman used it on the interior and then painted over it.
Probably a less expensive fix would be to use some trunk paint (spatter paint) to fix it up.

Speaking of Herculiner how about that?
Has anyone tried the stuff from POR-15?
My bumpers and rockers are all chipped to shit, so I'm watching this thread.

I did both the front compartment and the engine compartment with Por 15, Por Primer, and final coat of Herculiner, for my V8 conversion. It was a lot of work but it came out really good.
This picture is of the finished front compartment:

This picture shows the Por Primer (on top of the Por 15 paint) ready for the Herculiner.

When I see any shittage sprayed in the trunks
(other than what belongs there), my first thought is "What's he trying to hide?"

I hear Rhino Liner also works as a reverberation dampener. Not to mention, stops 30-06 rounds through a brick wall. Thank you, Discovery channel.
