I'm considering a front brake upgrade and have seen that the Volvo calipers are of the 4 piston variety. What pads get used with this conversion? rotors will be non vented

I am running to stock pads but I am sure there is a better aftermarket pad out there. for street use the stock pads are good

I use the Hawk street pads on my beater Volvo. They work great on the street.

Stock pads work great. You should file down the edges that don't touch the rotor or there will be a section that doesn't wear. Not a big deal if you don't, just better if you do.
