Saw this "914 rear hub" on ebay. Seems to have a completely different bearing surface than what I've seen on our 4 banger hubs. Is this somebodies re-work or did they actually make them this way at one time?? Doesn't seem like much of a surface for the bearing to ride on.

It might be a piece of the bearing race that they didn't bother taking off. 
Duh..........I should've realized that......Thanks! Just curious cause it looked like a 944 hub I saw.
