i want to work for city utilies like power/communications..
i was at a winery today and a semi-truck knocked over 2 telephone poles with the power to a small city(200k+). took them 14 hours to get new poles in the ground. most of the time they sat in there big utility trucks sleeping and drinking coffee.. so think of average hazardus conditon pay + on call + over time...... 30 guys out to fix 2 downed poles. not to mention the actual pole contactors are subbed out. so utilites guys sit and wait all day to do 15min of real work thats hazardous. turns out final bill over 230k to fix the power/ comm lines..... *rant over* i want there job at 65$+ an hour sleeping
