That was a lot of fun, haven't had that grin on my face (while driving anyway ) for a loooong time. Overheated the piss out of my battery though, got home and it had popped one of the covers up on the top, and was boiling and hissing! Whats the cause do you suppose- bad voltage regulator, bad batt, or high engine compartment temps? (It was around 3/4 on the old oil temp gauge during most of that "spirited" driving)

Youll have to check the voltage as you rev the engine up, over 14 will cook the battry. Could have dislodged the plates and shorted the battery too.

Plug the holes in your engine tin, that's my story and i'm sticking with it.

Happens alot actually, ..seems at least one a month,,and there always up north where all the traffic is ,and lawn mowers ,bikes ,runners

Thanks to all for the suggestions on my boiling batt issue... Last night I bought a red-top, ordered a new regulator, and doused the area with baking soda/water... Should be back and better than ever in the next few days!

I'm busy as hell preparing for a National Conference for 650 attendees that starts August 15th, so time is a premium for me as it approaches. I didn't read that. Even if I lived in North Seattle I wouldn't go South of downtown during the week at rush hour. That's the worst traffic in Washington.

I'm probably doing a car show in Bothell on Sunday but could stop by on the way back from that. Probably 3:00-3:30.

we already know that ...but you want us to drive up there...on a tuesday nite...takes me almost 2 hours to get to your place on a week night Mr Bovey thats why i dont show to Tuesday gig`s...and i still have to drive home

I fly in on the 4th, hope to attend an exotic car show at the Museum of Flight on the 5th, the following weekend I will be out on a boat drinking my ass off with a bunch of pirates, and the 13-19th I will be on the road to/from CA.

I would be in for having something in the south end, but I will be on my honeymoon/vacation from the 6th through the 10th. I work at Boeing Field and live in Oly, but I could have my car back in Tacoma by 6:30 on most days. I'm not ready to drive it to work in all of that traffic until I get the side shift tranny put in this winter, so I'll have to run home to get it.

We'll see how my car does driving down to Lincoln City for the trip. Hopefully I don't have to spend the entire trip working on it

on week days southsounders only have to drive north before 2pm for a 6pm (still can be iffy) beer and burger to avoid the greater seattle commute nightmare. the 4th worst in the nation. then there's the upcoming Seafair festivities. throw in a sounders match or mariners game, and road construction/closures. it's just too much.

We could invade The Ram down on the Tacoma waterfront. Parking shouldn't be too bad on a Tuesday, outside seating, great beer and burgers. Not too steep on the prices either. Either that or someone's garage/driveway

I can provide "near" waterfront access, I also can provide a "trailer park" but we would need to drive to eastern Wa.

We live on the south end of Lake Sammamish in Issaquah, even Rhodyguy can get here easily if he takes the backroads(hgwy 18), I'll even let him stay overnight if he needs his beauty sleep.

I'll be delighted to host on the the 7th if we can get the guy's from the south and guys from the north to agree that traffic sucks!
