914 Wheels?
1970 Neun vierzehn
6X14 ? AND 4 bolt pattern. They might fit but I'd wager they weren't a factory option. I've never seen anything like them before on any kind of car.

Andy,
Are you saying that a 14" wheel was a "factory" option on a 914/4? Where? Europe? When? Any idea what it looked like? I'd never heard of that before. huh.gif

ok, just checked, my bad, 14" was only a factory option for the 5-lug 914-6 ...

but i found some more interesting data:

from DGVWPB:

under 4-lug Wheel/Tire Combinations, they list a 4-Lug STEEL wheel/tire combo with the following specs ...

Wheel: 9"x15 ET -19 (!)
Tires: 285/40 x 15

and an 8" with an ET of -25 (!)

ohmy.gif so, at one point, there was a factory (well, lenner) 4-lug (!) 9" steel wheel with an ET of -19 (thats one damm deep dish wheel!)

not unlike the 9" 4-lug steel wheel i had on my VW-Bug ...
and i always thought that my bug wheels were aftermarket, looks like they were genuine after all ...

PS: oh, and a (presumably 5-lug) 11" wheel with an ET of -44 (!)

I have seen those wheels before in the 70s in Europe and here. They are knock off of Compegello(Sp?). If you will look in the books about converted 914-6s by Italian coachmakers with will see wheels that are very similar. They made them for 911's also.

They were popular wheels for Fiat X-19 also.
