A friend with a plasma cutter is going to fab some wheel spacers for me from some aluminum stock.

They will be going on the rear of my 914 hubs that were drilled for 5-lug fuchs by Fat Performance. My studs are long enough to accomodate 1/4" + spacers.

Does anyone have the outer/inner dimensions of their spacers?

Are the cuts 90 degrees? Anything else that is notable?

I will take care of the location of the bolt holes myself.

The wheels to be used are a set of 15" and 16" fuchs.

Any help out there before the next "attack". biggrin.gif

Computer operated. I forget the tolerance he mentioned. They will be "perfectly" round.

But maybe the bigger issue is the location of the stud holes. A machinist friend is helping me with that.

I have friends in high places. biggrin.gif

So... you got any dimensions????? ph34r.gif

Most of not all spacers are made of AL.

I didn't know a plasma can cut AL...

HHHmmm..I have to try that sometime.

You got any useful dimensions? headbang.gif

Clayton - your point taken. I thought we were talking about aluminum. I will double check.

yes. the factory spacers are NOT solid. i wouldn't do them out of one block of material.
the factory spacers are much lighter as they're hollow ...

i can get some measurements & pics tomorrow ...

Thanks Andy. I'll look for your post.

I made my own 1/2" rear spacers.....

OD is 6.735" (this matches the OD of the brake rotor and should never be smaller than the hub of the wheels used)

ID is 1.75" to clear the axle nut, this dim. can range from 1.75" to 3.5"

nothing too special...one of these days I'll machine out some of the material between the holes to makes 'em lighter and nicer looking

actually, you can use a plasma cutter to cut non-ferrous items such as plastic, rubber or even glass...the trick is to 1st place a thin sheet of steel over the item you want to cut, the "blast" will cut thru the material on the farside welder.gif

Thanks Mike... I had no clue about that...
