I bought this years ago, am I missing anything?

a welder smile.gif

that's it, otherwise ...

hmm, looks like they were bolted on before.
They should be welded?

Does anyone have the Weltmeister instruction sheet they could scan and post?
SirAndy
oh, i tought those bolts were for the drop-links ...
never seen them bolted, always welded on ...

I just read Wayne's "Installing A Front Sway Bar" article. They bolted it to the a arm.
They did do some welding on the rear install, though. HMM, once the car gets here I might
be able to justify the purchase of a Miller MIG.
ChrisReale
Mine are welded on also. Those bolts look like the lower drop link bolt.
seanery
they look a little too long for the drop links.

Chris, did your car have factory bars?
seanery
This is Wayne's pic. You can see the nyloc on the bottom of the a arm.

Those are Weltmeister u-brackets. They are intended to be bolted on. I've seen them rotate and bind up. I recomend welding.

Yea, my car had factory bars. Those pics do look like they are bolted on.

Bolt on now, weld later....that's what I'm doing (no trouble yet, but I've only been on the road again for 5 months....)
Brad Roberts
Send them to me and I will buzz them on for you.

Weld them on. Bolting them to the a-arm is a crappy solution IMO

cheers,

Jeroen

I still like the Smart solution.
