Can the heads on a 1.7 be removed w/o dropping the engine. I think I have a burnt valve and may need to change the head. Thanks, TT

It's possible.

cept I wouldn't do it. PERIOD

Pulling the engine and trans with two people is a one hour drill.

Can be done with one person.

Get help from one of the club members. Giterdone. And done right.

And now you have the opportunity to fix, check, clean everything else that may need attention.

Use search function for how to do this. It's been played here many times... For your edification

why do yous guys go through soo many gyrations to avoid removing teh engine?

drop the engine and trans as a package. it takes an hour. stop staring at teh bolts.

I crack up every time I imagine someone tryign to do teh oil cooler seals with teh engine in.
